We do not collect personal information.

The short version

• There are no accounts. The game never asks for a name, an email address or a date of birth.
• There are no ads, no analytics, no tracking and no third-party software development kits.
• The game makes no network requests. Nothing is sent to us or to anyone else.
• Game progress is stored on the device, and on Apple devices in the player's own iCloud account, so it can follow the player to a new device.
• The iOS and Android apps are a one-time purchase in the App Store or Google Play. There are no in-app purchases.

What the game stores

To work as a game, Invincible Space Dinosaur keeps the following for each player on a device:

• A nickname of up to ten letters, typed on the game's arcade keyboard. We recommend a first name or a made-up name, never a full name.
• The chosen dinosaur, grade and settings.
• Scores, stars, badges, rank and which math facts were answered right or wrong, so the game can pick drills and show progress.

None of this identifies a person, and none of it is ever transmitted to us.

Where it is stored

iPhone and iPad

On the device, and in iCloud key-value storage attached to the device owner's Apple Account, so that progress appears on every device signed into the same account. That copy lives on Apple's servers under Apple's privacy policy; we have no access to it. Without iCloud the data stays on the device.

Android

On the device. If Android backup is turned on, the device includes the game's data in the backup kept in the owner's Google Account, under Google's privacy policy. We have no access to it.

Web browser

In the browser's local storage on that computer or phone only. Clearing the site's data in the browser erases it.

Deleting the data

Deleting a player on the game's WHO'S PLAYING? screen removes that player's data from the device, and on iOS from the iCloud copy as well. Uninstalling the app removes everything the game stored on the device. In a browser, clearing the site's data does the same.

Children

The game is designed for children aged 7 to 12. Because it collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children. There are no links out of the game, no chat, no sharing and no way for a player to contact or be contacted by anyone.

This website

invinciblespacedinosaur.com is a static site with no cookies, no analytics and no forms. It is hosted on GitHub Pages, whose servers may record ordinary web server logs such as the visitor's IP address, as described in the GitHub General Privacy Statement. The browser version of the game on this site stores progress only in your browser's local storage, as described above.

Purchases

The iOS and Android apps are sold as a one-time purchase through the App Store and Google Play. Payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google; we never receive card or account details.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is posted here with a new effective date. The game itself will never start collecting personal information without a new policy and a new app version.
